Basic Function
Reporting to the Director of Asset Management, the Asset Manager will oversee a portfolio of operating utility scale solar and storage projects across the United States, with a primary focus on optimizing the financial performance and commercial success of the company’s assets. This position will be responsible for delivering optimal financial performance of the company’s portfolio through keen fiscal health maintenance of assigned projects and continuous evaluations of economic improvement opportunities. The role will emphasize the management of project models post-COD and driving value through strategic oversight of financial performance. The Asset Manager will work closely with internal teams such as Capital Markets, Finance, Operations, Development, Engineering, and Transmission Analytics, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure that the projects meet or exceed financial expectations and contractual obligations. Duties And Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Manage and update project models post-Commercial Operations.
- Work with the Finance team to approve distributions, debt waterfall calculations and DSCR reporting.
- Oversee and manage project P&L, ensuring projects are performing at or above financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with Risk and Portfolio Management on financial risk assessments and strategies.
- Lead approvals of changes to revenue strategies with Power Committee and Risk Committee as necessary.
- Lead the development and management of annual project budgets and oversee variance analyses against actuals.
- Oversee delivery of monthly operating reports, actual to budget reports and distribution reports to external parties.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of financial statements (quarterly and annual) and oversee the review of K-1 tax documents and Annual Tax Returns prepared by the accounting team.
- Review settlement statements, approve revenue invoices, and provide support to settlements department if needed on disputes.
- Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate billing, revenue, and expense allocations.
- Assist in acquisition due diligence by identifying operational risks, costs, and opportunities for improvement.
Contract And Compliance Management
- Manage all project contracts, ensuring compliance and standardizing contract management and reporting processes.
- Ensure project companies and affiliates comply with equity and debt financing documents in coordination with financial compliance team.
- Collaborate with legal and contracts teams on manage amendments contract amendments.
- Manage the transition of projects from development and construction phases to asset management, ensuring a seamless handover process.
- Participate in acquisition due diligence, identifying operational risks, costs, and opportunities for improvement.
Operational Performance
- Review performance reports, issues, and initiatives to improve operational performance with Operations team and provide support when needing coordination with TE and debt counterparties.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify revenue-enhancing and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including off takers, landowners, ISOs, regulatory entities, and financing parties.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (MBA, PMP, etc.) desired.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a leading sponsor, investor/lender, or advisor role within the power or renewables sector, with a strong focus on Tax Equity Financing and Financial Modeling.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the energy industry, with specific experience in utility-scale renewable energy preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing complex financial models, including Tax Equity and Debt Service models.
- Experience using Asset Management software tools.
- Familiarity with K-1 tax documents and incorporation into financial models.
- Strong understanding of project finance, legal contracts, accounting, and contract negotiations.
- Strong proficiency with managing financial metrics and analyses, including IRR, ROI, NPV, and DCF models.
- Commercial mindset with excellent prioritization, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, research independently, and apply knowledge effectively in new areas.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Base Pay – $130,000 – $145,000
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, certifications, specific work location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Base pay may vary per location due to differences in the cost of living.
The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual discretionary bonus, full Health & Wellness Benefits package, generous Long Term Incentive plan designed with our partnership mentality in mind, and other applicable incentive perks as outlined in any formal offer made. The final compensation package will be discussed with the candidate during the final stages of the hiring process.
