WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Continuous Improvement Process Engineer this position will spearhead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and drive significant improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This position will be responsible for conducting in-depth analyses of current processes, identifying areas of inefficiency or waste, and implementing robust solutions to address these issues. Leveraging expertise in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies, this position will lead cross-functional teams in redesigning workflows, streamlining operations, and eliminating bottlenecks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process Analysis and Optimization: Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze manufacturing processes, identify opportunities for improvement in cycle time, yield, resource utilization, etc.
  • Lean Manufacturing Implementation: Lead the adoption and integration of lean manufacturing techniques throughout the organization, applying tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen events, and visual management systems.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analyses to determine underlying issues contributing to process inefficiencies or defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive continuous improvement projects from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with production, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to implement process improvements seamlessly and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor team members on lean principles, problem-solving methodologies, and best practices in continuous improvement, fostering a culture of operational excellence across the organization.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in process engineering, recommending, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and competitiveness.


IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?


What do you bring?

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering/Science plus 8 -10 years manufacturing & Continuous Improvement experience
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools/software (e.g., Minitab, PowerBI, Excel).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is preferred.

Pay Transparency

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $87,500 to $135,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $98,000.00 to $151,760.00
