As the Business Development Manager – Renewables for SAC Wireless, you will be an integral part of SAC’s dynamic culture in an environment that is rapidly growing in a landscape that is constantly evolving.
This role will be responsible for finding and pursuing new business opportunities in the renewable energy sectors (EV, solar, energy efficiency, battery storage) that include construction and/or infrastructure development that engages and forms relationships with the most highly valued segment of our business as well as initiating, implementing, and coordinating business initiatives and service line growth. Principal responsibilities include identification and execution of these business development opportunities and strategies and will require an excellent working relationship with other Business Development Managers and the Leadership Team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborate with key members of the Business executive team in setting the company’s strategic direction.
· Work with other members of the Business Development team and other department leaders to understand SAC’s programs and services and how that creates opportunity for near and long-term business opportunities.
· Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
· Manage multiple business initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
· Revenue generation and strategic partnerships development and management.
· Manage complex contract negotiations and work with legal counsel as required.
· Through personal example, exhibit thorough knowledge of SAC history, culture, goals, and the telecommunications industry.
· Establish the style and approach which will characterize SAC in the marketplace.
· The ability to target and create new customers by identifying key decision makers, demonstrating a strategic selling approach.
· Maintain a high level of activity working with operations to ensure company is meeting sales metrics and selling what we can perform.
· Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and profitability targets.
· Research the latest in business industry and creating new opportunities to expand line of business
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or Business-related preferred
· 5+ years of experience in renewable energy (EV, solar, energy efficiency, battery storage), construction, or infrastructure development with a proven track record in business development or sales roles.
· Well-connected within the renewable energy ecosystem, with relationships in energy companies, government agencies, utilities, investors, and regulatory bodies.
· A solid understanding of renewable energy technologies, market trends, and government regulations and incentives that impact the industry
· Ability to comprehend and communicate technical aspects of renewable energy solutions to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, the C-suite, and the customer
· Familiarity with quoting and sales engineering practices, including the ability to prepare accurate quotes, understand technical specifications, and respond to client inquiries effectively.
· Familiarity with construction project lifecycles, especially in renewable energy installations (solar farms, etc.).
· Experience with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
· Must have strong presentation skills, experience with client interaction, and possess confidence to manage challenging clients assertively and tactfully.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
· Self-motivated with proven experience managing multiple, competing, and changing priorities.
· Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) with internal agency departments, vendors.
· Experience working with corporate structures and B2B sales.
· Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
