Job Functions (Essential)

  • Screen new sales orders for part availability and capacity, and ensure orders are ordered to the latest revision levels and give operations approval to each sales order. Verify sales order request can be acccomodated in the forecasted production plan.
  • Screen sales order changes for part availability and capacity, ensure orders are ordered to the latest revision levels and give operations approval to each sales order.
  • Manage the coordination of order status between logistics and sales
  • Evaluate sales order revision requests as needed
  • Report and track order changes, status and completion
  • Maintain daily military production schedules in SAP, ensuring parts are available to build and customer requirements for delivery are met. Create production orders, release serial numbers and set sequence schedule.
  • Communicate all military schedule changes to engine manufacturing and material planning groups
  • Print build books and associated paperwork for production
  • Modify production orders as required
  • Act as backup for other order management team members who are out of office
  • Prepare reports and charts for management
  • Keep management abreast of projects, vendor issues, workshops, pending problems and the financial impact
  • Work closely with other departments to improve efficiencies and throughput, and maintain positive working relationships
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Global Code of Conduct
  • Perform special projects as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Math/Science, Logistics or Business and 3 years of experience in logistics and/or materials management; or 7 years of experience in logistics and/or materials management
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competitive needs and deadlines
  • Strong organizational, planning and follow up skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability when issues are complex
  • Good knowledge of business principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, sales and customer service, production methods and information technology
  • Good knowledge of Material Requirements Planning systems and Production Scheduling
  • Good interpersonal skills; must be able to build positive relationships and work effectively with others
  • Good self-starter with the ability to work extended periods without supervision and good personal drive, with can-do attitude
  • Good oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of MTU products, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of diesel engine manufacturing
  • Familiar with SAP operating system

While performing duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to stand, kneel, crouch, reach, and / or grasp.
