Republic Services strategy is designed to generate profitable growth. Through acquisitions and industry advancements, we safely and sustainably manage our customers multiple waste streams through a North American footprint of vertically integrated assets.

We focus on three areas of growth to meet the increasing needs of our customers: recycling and waste, environmental solutions and sustainability innovation.

With our integrated approach, strengthening our position in one area advances other areas of our business. For example, as we grow volume in recycling and waste, we collect additional material to bolster our circularity capabilities. And as we expand environmental solutions, we drive additional opportunities to provide these services to our existing recycling and waste customers.

Recycling and Waste

We continue to expand our recycling and waste business footprint throughout North America through organic growth and targeted acquisitions. The 13 million customers we serve and our more than 5 million pick-ups per day provide us with a distinct advantage. We aggregate materials at scale, unlocking new opportunities for advanced recycling. In addition, we are cross-selling new products and services to better meet our customers specific needs.

Environmental Solutions

Our comprehensive environmental solutions capabilities help customers safely manage their most technical waste streams. We are expanding both our capabilities and our geographic footprint. We see strong growth opportunities for our offerings, including PFAS remediation, an increasing customer need.


SUSTAINABILITY INNOVATION

Republics recent innovations to advance circularity and decarbonization demonstrate our unique ability to leverage sustainability as a platform for growth.

The Republic Services Polymer Center is the nations first integrated plastics recycling facility. This innovative site processes rigid plastics from our recycling centers, producing recycled materials that promote true bottle-to-bottle circularity. We also formed Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago, to develop facilities that will further process plastic material from our Polymer Centers to help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. We are building a network of Polymer Centers and Blue Polymer facilities across North America.

We continue to advance decarbonization at our landfills. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow, we have 70 landfill gas-to-energy projects in operation and plan to expand our portfolio to 115 projects by 2028.

As part of our ongoing commitment to help our customers meet their sustainability objectives, weve developed an innovative, multi-year Order-to-Cash (OTC) roadmap designed to revolutionize our core processes and technologies. We are seeking a Director of Modernization to spearhead this transformation, focusing on streamlining our OTC processes.

In this role, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the planning, implementation, and optimization of our OTC platform. Your primary objective will be to enhance efficiency, achieve cost savings, and ensure an intuitive design. By driving the adoption of new technologies and innovative solutions, you will help deliver the new technologies that power seamless experiences for our customers, modernized ways of working for our employees, and sustained value for the communities we serve.

Your leadership will be crucial in aligning our OTC transformation with Republic Services’ digital strategy, fostering continuous improvement and innovation throughout our process consolidation journey.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver Value: Develop and execute program roadmaps on time and within budget, achieving targeted financial objectives and maximizing return on investment.
  • Foster Collaboration: Build strong relationships with functional and technical stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment that drives successful project execution.
  • Guide with Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of Order-to-Cash processes, ERP technologies, and project management methodologies to guide your team towards excellence. Ensure that the voices of the customers and impacted stakeholders are represented in all product decisions.
  • Drive Optimization: Lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge process and centralization solutions that streamline the OTC process, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to sustainable growth.
  • Think Customer-Centric: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand and address customer needs, ensuring a smooth and efficient Order-to-Cash experience.
  • Be a Leader: Represent the program in all facets from directly and indirectly leading large resources groups to dialoguing with C-suite executives.

Who You Are:

  • Proven track record of leveraging ERP technologies to create organizational benefit through process optimization and centralization of administrative functions.
  • Strong knowledge of OTC processes, including customer set up, billing, cash application, collections, and revenue accounting.
  • Strong change management skills with proven experience in leading large-scale organizational transformations.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics for process improvements and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience in defining and improving key performance indicators (KPIs) for OTC processes.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Salesforce).
  • Experienced people manager with a passion for developing the next generation of leaders.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, adept at navigating relationships with executives, customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Ability to drive innovation, think strategically, and solve problems creatively.
  • Proven track record in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with complex transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of best practices in shared services and process centralization models.
  • Located in the Phoenix metro area (or willing to relocate) and able to be in-office 4 full days per week.
  • Have a minimum of 8 years of progressive responsibility in the ERP transformation, enterprise program management, or related space.
  • Leadership experience in one or more ERP transformations.

  • Leadership role in one or more ERP transformations.
