Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Designer to develop and implement electrical systems for solar and battery storage projects. This role involves designing and optimizing electrical systems, managing project budgets and timelines, and ensuring high-quality standards. You will work closely with various engineering teams and support both the design and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering: Create detailed designs for solar PV systems and energy storage, including system layout, hardware selection, and infrastructure design. Perform AC/DC sizing calculations.

Project Management: Oversee electrical design for multiple projects, ensuring adherence to budget and timeline. Manage utility-scale solar and storage projects.

Collaboration: Coordinate with civil, structural, and other engineers to integrate designs. Ensure seamless project execution.

Quality Assurance: Conduct electrical calculations and studies, maintain high design standards, and ensure quality control.

Industry Awareness: Stay updated on equipment and best practices in renewable energy. Apply industry advancements to project designs.

Construction Support: Address contractor and owner queries, participate in site surveys, and review construction documents.
Qualifications:

Experience: 5-7 years in electrical design for renewable energy, specifically solar and battery storage.

Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software, MS Office, and understanding of electrical construction techniques. Experience with utility-scale PV projects and BESS is a plus.

Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC and NESC standards.

Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for effective interaction with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Project Management: Ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
