Asset and O&M Manager
About the Role:
Under the general supervision of the Director of EPC and Operations, the Asset and O&M Manager will provide financial and operational management, as well as reporting expertise, for solar power generation facilities. This role involves overseeing technical issues and maximizing net cash generation through effective operational management. Key responsibilities include generating facility reports and managing communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee asset management, operations, maintenance, and monitoring of operating assets.
- Perform duties to optimize asset generation and ensure long-term safety, performance, and reliability.
- Complete all reporting requirements within specified deadlines for operating assets, both internal and external.
- Evaluate asset performance and implement actions to increase revenue.
- Supervise direct reports and manage asset optimization efforts.
- Conduct proactive maintenance and technical performance analysis.
- Enable performance reporting and analysis of key metrics.
- Enhance corporate knowledge of solar power facilities through training and cost-effective improvements.
- Enforce contractual obligations, including challenging manufacturer performance and investigating downtime and performance metrics.
- Track and trend key operations and maintenance provider metrics.
- Investigate site abnormalities to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for operating assets.
- Provide feedback to enhance development models and manage all warranty and contractual communications with stakeholders.
- Drive a safety culture aligned with business goals, monitoring safety performance and culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Over 7 years of experience in solar power plant asset management, operations, or maintenance.
- Extensive experience in operations or financial management, including contract administration.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently on projects, data analysis, and key deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with senior management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office® suite (Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®, Project®).
- Ability to travel (estimated at 10%).
Preferred Skills:
- Over 3 years of supervisory experience with engineering, operations, and technical staff.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level programs for remote data acquisition and control of solar power generation facilities, including computerized maintenance management systems and data analysis tools.
- Understanding of environmental, health, and safety program management for power generation facilities.
