Responsibilities
The candidate will lead multiple cross functional teams whose objective is to support management of client’s renewable energy assets and fulfillment of contractual compliance obligations associated with those assets. Drive optimization of all portfolios and direct task completion for the effective execution of various Radian scopes of work. Responsibilities include:
- Fully understand the commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations of many operating portfolios of renewable energy assets (solar, wind, BESS). Drive task completion across various teams and counter parties and execute tasks to ensure portfolio compliance with all project agreements. Fully understand the various Radian Asset Management scopes of work.
- Lead the onboarding of new portfolios and projects and assist the various Radian teams with moving onboarding forward.
- Quarterback the activities of PM team and other team members in tracking and fulfilling on-going tasks and deliverables. Drive team efficiency by being an expert user of the Radian Digital platform and other standard platforms to drive workflow.
- Review and approve performance and financial reports for the operating projects. Can develop and prepare standard and ad hoc reports as needed.
- Coordinate with the Technical Asset Management team and manage the contract for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) personnel to optimize the performance and operations of the projects.
- Coordinate with the Financial Asset Management team and support billing and revenue tracking, invoice tracking, SREC administration, settlements and other financial deliverables. Manage the initial set up of invoicing, SRECs, settlements and revenue tracking and demonstrate a full understanding of these processes for given portfolios. Read, understand and effectively utilize the information contained in complex project financial models and effectively utilize the information contained in project financial statements.
- Track project performance, weather, and operational data for operating projects through event tickets and O & M work orders. Understand and make use of the data for analysis and ad-hoc reporting or for creating meaningful recommendations for clients.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage difficult warranty claims and move them forward for the benefit of the clients.
- Manage document administration and data rooms for project specific documents.
- Manage the process and utilize resources to create, coordinate, compile and submit FERC, EIA and other regulatory compliance obligations with support of internal team members and 3rd parties.
- Effectively manage relationships with key project stakeholders, including project owner & investors, power offtakers, O&M providers, internal cross functional team members and multiple external 3rd parties
- Provide excellent customer service internally and externally. Organize meeting agendas, both internal and with clients, lead meetings with clients, O & M providers, other external parties and internal teams.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in a specialty area. Begin developing a secondary specialty.
- Lead projects and drive activities for multiple portfolios and projects of varying size and complexity. Drive resolution of problems of medium – difficult complexity and team-based scope. Possess vision for when new templates or procedures need to be created and drive this process within the team. Effectively drive the creation of new SOP’s and the updating of existing SOPs.
- Manage and mentor at least 4 direct reports. Develop compensation planning, career coaching, training, and administer company policies for the team.
- Train and mentor junior team members and direct reports. Delegate and direct completion of standard monthly tasks assigned to all team members.
- Plan and develop initiatives for larger PM team and Radian as a whole.
Required Qualification & Education
- 2-4 years Team management experience
- 6+ years of experience in renewable energy asset management or operations, or equivalent work experience in renewable energy
- Expert client management and communication skills with the ability to resolve high visibility issues. Ability to communicate effectively in difficult situations
- Expert in performance data analysis, project specific recommendations, cost benefit analyses, reporting, and presentation
- Experience with managing to budget and utilizing complex financial models for managing of operating assets
- Experience negotiating and managing Asset Management, O&M, EPC and multiple other types of contracts with third-party vendors
- Expert documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and senior level management, CEOs
- University Degree (or equivalent) with 6+ years of renewable energy experience
- Preferred field of degree: Business Administration, Economics, Energy Studies, Environmental Studies, technical Engineering, or related field
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands on experience managing operating renewable energy asset portfolios: solar, wind or BESS
- Working knowledge of interpreting and managing various types of renewable energy contracts including PPA’s, IA’s, LLCA’s, O & M contracts, warranty documents, etc.
- Understanding of managing, overseeing or coordinating FERC and other regulatory compliance obligations for utility-scale and C & I renewable energy projects
- Working knowledge of negotiating and managing Asset Management, O&M, EPC and multiple other types of contracts with third-party vendors
- Personnel management, coaching & mentoring. Able to define goals and lead a team to achieve the goal, able to work as part of a larger team.

Required Software Knowledge
- Expertise in MS Office MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) and Adobe PDF toolsets
- Expertise in asset management software systems & third-party monitoring platforms
Preferred Experience
- At least 6+ years working with operating renewable energy assets: solar, wind or BESS + educational credits in the industry
- Second level management of a large team
- Successful delivery of large cross functional projects
- Process improvement experience with Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
- Deep Experience with C & I and utility-scale renewable energy projects and Community Solar management
- Proven work with renewable energy data analysis, reporting and presentation

The Pay Range For This Role Is
83,490 – 139,150 USD per year(United States)
