Radial Power is a provider of distributed energy and sustainability solutions to Commercial and Industrial (C&I) asset owners across dispersed regional and utility territories and diverse asset classes.   • Regulatory policies shifts accommodating higher penetration of renewable energy.
  • Distributed energy solutions increasingly becoming cost competitive.
  • Rapid electrification of the transportation network creating charging demand opportunities.
  • System and grid operators relying on the installed distributed capacity of C&I customers to address system resiliency and reliability through DER programs.

About the Position:

In this position, the successful candidate will play a key role in core development activities, which involve understanding of the solar industry, ground mount and rooftop solar project development processes, managing relationships with permitting authorities and experience in managing external partnerships.

The successful candidate will also support Radial Power M&A activities by coordinating due diligence and closing of the acquisition portfolios of energy assets.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and support all facets of operations within the business development team. A qualified candidate will demonstrate the ability to immediately contribute to Radial Powers mission of developing renewable energy assets with potential to meaningfully decarbonize communities and unlock economic value.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support technical, environmental and land due diligence of potential acquisitions
  • Manage project timeline and budgets from acquisition to start of construction (development phase)
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to meet timelines and budgets of the projects including finance, supply chain, and operations
  • Manage relationships with local stakeholders, including landowners and town authorities. This requires visiting the projects and attending in person meetings
  • Manage existing partnerships to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Including coordination of conditions to close project acquisitions
  • Manage suppliers and advisors contracted for project development (surveys, environmental, site plan, title review, technical review)

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in renewable energy, finance, economics, engineering, natural sciences or a related field preferred
  • One to Three years of professional experience in infrastructure/energy project development or project management

Skills:

Radial Power seeks candidates who can demonstrate alignment with our mission, as well as a high degree of competence in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of distributed or small-scale solar development life cycle
  • Understanding of regulatory and permitting processes related to renewable energy projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with solar development tools and project management tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of other distributed solutions (BESS, EV charging ) is a plus
  • Experience with basic financial modeling and analysis is a plus
  • Keen attention to detail, whether quantitative or qualitative in nature
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
