Summary

Performs the simpler types of work in the maintenance, inspection, repair, testing, adjustment, installation and removal of all facility assets.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

DUTIES:

1. Performs minor repairs, replacement and maintenance on facility assets.

2. Performs preventive maintenance including building inspections and makes reports for abnormal conditions for permanent repair.

3. Maintains work area in a safe and clean manner.

4. Completes and returns all work orders according to established procedures.

5. Maintains grounds, parking lots, and exterior facade.

6. Operate company vehicle as needed to perform job duties.

7. Moves and handles equipment, materials and supplies.

8. Assist employees of a higher classification in the occupational group.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work safely following all Company Safety practices and policies.
  • Must be a careful and thorough worker.
  • Must be able to work alone.
  • Must understand the care and use of mechanics tools, pneumatic tools, voltage detector and other equipment used in this work.
  • Must be able to read simple working drawings and to make simple sketches.
  • Must be able to qualify as NERC / CIP compliant.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Lock out Tag out procedures.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
  • Must be proficient in reading, writing and understanding English

Desired:

  • Work experience in maintenance.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Experience painting.
  • Experience using a battery operated drill.
