Job Summary

Reporting to the Distribution Business Team Leader this position has overall responsibility for providing and coordinating technical and administrative document support to all PSE&G Lines of Business. Working on Technical Manuals and projects relating to the development of PSE&G OEM documentation including Core Functions, Processes, Procedures, Engineering Standards on a day-to-day basis integrating the contributions of other team members and management. Working closely with document owners, SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and outside vendors. Able to organize, prioritize and work under tight schedules. Act as Business Continuity Coordinator responsible for ensuring all business processes within their respective Business Units are documented, maintained, and exercised as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work as an integral team member of the PSE&G OEM Group having the responsibility to lead the production/trafficking of all production related requests for assigned PSE&G OEM documentation to appropriate personnel and/or vendors.
  • Create and manage schedules and workflows for all assigned documentation projects requiring reviewing, revising, developing new content, creating new graphics and/or correcting old versions, creating time-critical changes and publishing both SharePoint, MDTs, and external site.
  • Work closely with Distribution Business Team Leader, Manual Owners, and SMEs as well as Technical Writers, other Vendors to assist them in completing their goals of reviewing, revising, and developing new content.
  • Track status of all projects and update reports.
  • Work closely with external vendor to update manuals.
  • Develop and continually update the BIA (Business Impact Analysis) and Business Continuity Plan annually or as needed. Post all program documentation in the BC SharePoint folder.
  • Conduct and participate in all exercises, and ensure they are conducted within required timeframes.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 2 years experience or High School Diploma/ GED with a minimum of 6 years experience
  • Familiarity with editing or publishing technical documents.
  • Proofreading experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Client oriented
  • Experience working with SharePoint
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow directions.
  • Skilled in computer applications, including but not limited to MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and MS Visio
Desired:
  • Basic knowledge of MicroStation
