Summary:

The Project P&L Manager – Finance will provide financial support for Powin’s energy storage projects. This position will oversee the financial health of assigned contracts, provide decision support to the business and compile reports for upper management. This is a highly visible opportunity that will work with multiple departments to understand budgets, track costs and communicate transparent financial data to the organization.

Job Details:

  • Manage the financial execution of assigned projects including invoicing and payment terms, maintenance of project costs, scope change orders, securities, taxes and insurance requirements
  • Responsible for cost analysis, forecasting and reporting of financial status for each project
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly financial reports including contract status, outstanding invoices and a comparison of actual versus budgeted costs
  • Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate representation of project financials
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting of project milestones, outstanding invoices and project status
  • Provide training to project site personnel to ensure that costs are being booked correctly in relation to invoices, purchase orders, credit cards, employee advances and expense reports and timekeeping
  • Research, analyze and provide audit support for contract costs
  • Work closely with internal departments while providing feedback and information regarding contract costs—both actual and estimated

  • Work closely with Project Success team to monitor and track project budgets and helps with special requests on assigned projects
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years relevant experience in project finance including P&L management, forecasting and reporting for customer contracts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suites, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience with research, analysis and audits related to projects costs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities, including strong attention to detail
  • Capable of being a self-starter and work effectively in a remote work environment
  • Detail-orientated with strong planning, organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (specifically NetSuite) is a plus
  • This is a remote opportunity; however, we are seeking candidates located in the Portland, OR -or- Denver, CO areas
