Summary:

The Project Executive is responsible for the overall customer engagement, leading efforts to ensure the successful deployment of initial engagement solutions and the seamless repeat deployment of future solutions. This hybrid role combines elements of business development, sales engineering, and program management to provide a comprehensive customer experience from project inception through the duration of long-term service agreements. The Project Executive will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met while balancing the capabilities and offerings of the company’s products and services.

Job Details:

  • Serve as portfolio leader who will partner with cross-functional teams to drive the design, development, execution, and operation of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects with key customers
  • Provide high-level oversight to proactively flag, assess, escalate and correct “off track” key project segments to ensure on-time delivery and execution of critical projects
  • Establish a close working relationship with key internal stakeholders to ensure the right balance between what our customers want and what works best with our products
  • Work closely with Sales to track key perform indicators to ensure the development of customer relationships that promote future business opportunities, ultimately improving customer lifetime value
  • Serve as a key feedback source for development and improvement of the product and future projects by gathering insights from customers and delivering the information gained to the Product Management, Contracts & Sales Engineering Teams
  • Own P&L through regimented review of project financials with Project Teams and Finance to actively drive towards target project margins
  • Provide analysis, review, and facilitation of approvals for contractual and commercial items including change orders, schedule adjustments, and final closeout negotiations
  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years related work experience in a portfolio/project management role
  • 7+ years in energy storage, distributed generation, data center equipment, renewable energy or large-scale electrical equipment experience
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification preferred
  • Proven experience as a customer facing manager, capable of handling a complex customer environment and understand a complex product definition and delivery process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Proven excellence in Technical Sales or Customer Account Management
  • Demonstrated experience in Contract and Scope Negotiation, Customer Requirements definition, Project Development
  • Demonstrated experience in responding to and winning utility or large-scale customer RFPs
  • Experience in construction management environments
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, works with a sense of urgency
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Ability to act quickly and work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to think outside the box when faced with challenges
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, some experience with MS Project (or other scheduling software)
  • Ability to travel as needed for business
