Job Description

Piper Maddox is partnering with a leading company in the organic waste-to-renewable energy sector to find a skilled Engineering Manager. As the company plans to expand to over 150 facilities by 2026, they are seeking a talented individual to guide and support their ambitious growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring that quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Drawing Analysis: Interpret IFC, P&IDs, and orthographic drawings to identify and document any design deviations or modifications.
  • Test Packet Review: Analyze and review test packets, creating detailed test logs to track quality assurance.
  • Technical Documentation: Inspect P&IDs, Line Lists, and IFC Design drawings to verify compliance with ASME or CFR standards.
  • Material and Installation Verification: Ensure proper installation and documentation of materials, including certifications, traceability, and O&M manuals.
  • Turnover Coordination: Manage mechanical and electrical turnover processes from subcontractors, supporting project installations and testing.
  • Design Change Approval: Confirm that all engineering and design changes receive the necessary approvals from the design engineer.
  • Issue Resolution: Address quality issues promptly and develop effective solutions.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Proficiently read and understand technical drawings, including weld maps.
  • Procedure Development: Create or update procedures for capturing, investigating, and documenting quality issues.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 5 years in QA/QC with experience in renewable gas and piping systems (above and/or below ground).
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of ASME B31, CFR, or DOT standards.
  • Project Oversight: Proven ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and documents.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Excel, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, and Procore.
  • Attributes: Highly organized, resourceful, self-motivated, and experienced in document control.
