Develop and oversee project workplans, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely progress and adherence to development timelines.
Collaborate with engineering and legal teams to prepare RFIs and oversee contracting for engineering, procurement, and construction services, supporting renewable energy project execution.
Manage the response to municipal requests for renewable energy project proposals, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Oversee project valuation exercises, working closely with the finance team to input key metrics into project models, refining data throughout development to meet economic and schedule milestones.
Lead commercial negotiations for key project contracts, including feedstock supply, gas offtake agreements, and construction contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with project goals.
Navigate the internal project approval process by preparing investment memos, delivering presentations, and representing projects in management and approval meetings.
Support regulatory efforts, coordinating with utility commissions and state agencies to secure necessary approvals for developing, owning, and operating the facility.
Engage external consultants to assess green attribute markets, identify offtake opportunities, and ensure compliance with qualification requirements.
Represent the organization at external meetings, conferences, and industry events, strengthening the company’s presence and relationships with key stakeholders.
Background:
Strong ability to quickly understand the complexities of the renewable energy sector, particularly within the RNG space. Knowledge of hydrogen and voluntary renewable gas attributes is highly desirable.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to build consensus across a diverse group of stakeholders, ensuring successful project support and alignment.
Expertise in managing project development, with the capacity to juggle multiple workstreams and lead teams and external partners to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
