Principal Controls Engineer – Wind

Piper Maddox have recently been engaged by a Renewable Development firm operating across the US in an effort to help build out their Controls Engineering team.

This organization are a small, yet powerful group of industry veterans who work with Renewable sites (Wind & Solar primarily) that are in distress, giving them a new lease of life.

In this position, we are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to join the team, your primary responsibilities will include:

• You will be responsible for upgrading the existing controls systems.
• You will be working with the suppliers of the various control systems, ensuring that their product does what you need it to do.
• You will be working with the more junior employees in a mentorship style position, bringing them up to speed on the product offerings and helping them through their career.

The ideal background will look similar too:

• A minimum of 5 years experience working on Wind Turbine Controls Systems.
• Experience working on Bachmann control systems (this is what they currently use).
• Experience working directly with clients & suppliers, communication skills need to reflect this.
• Any experience mentoring is an advantage
