$130,000 – $180,000 + Bonus

Piper Maddox is partnered with a distributed generation independent power producer on the search for a Engineering Manager to join their team. Their portfolio boasts 400 MW of operational and under-construction projects, with an additional 1 GW in early and late-stage development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize expertise in PVsyst, Helioscope, PowerWorld, and AutoCAD to model and design solar energy systems.
• Act as a pivotal figure in the design, development, and project engineering phases, integrating commercial acumen with technical proficiency.
• Oversee the engineering process, ensuring projects meet rigorous standards without direct management of personnel.
• Foster growth and mentorship for a potential team of two engineers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in solar energy engineering, with a strong background in C&I/DG projects.
• Proficiency in PVsyst, Helioscope, PowerWorld, and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate project financing, with familiarity in sponsor and tax equity, and project-level debt financing.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred but not required.
• Adeptness in balancing design intricacies with commercial feasibility.
