Job Description
Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the energy solutions strategy including products and services, and leading and operating delivery of solutions in North America. This role will work with the Head of Vehicle Electrification & Infrastructure and Pilot Energy Solutions and collaborate with other business teams to generate sales and achieve a variety of strategic initiatives. This role will have a particular focus on vehicle electrification and infrastructure strategy execution, renewable and alternative fuels markets, and engagements with customers seeking low carbon solutions as part of their decarbonization goals.
Essential Functions
- Manage large or complex mandates and execution of initiatives through project cycle including the tracking, analyzation, and reporting on project performance.
- Engage key project stakeholders, both internal and external, including customers, suppliers and partners balancing achievement of commercial outcomes with long-term relationship management
- Grow customer and prospect awareness of products and services and develop perception of Pilot Energy Solutions as thought leaders through delivery of customer-facing engagements, earned media, participation and speaking at conferences and industry events.
- Contribute to development of new products and services to take advantage of new technologies or opportunities created by changes in regulatory, incentive or market structures.
- Support strategy and teams to deliver all aspects of project delivery for multiple projects.
- Drive and collaborate with cross-functional teams on scope, schedule, and engagement for optimal success.
- Support delivery of service/solution and team-members assigned to project.
- Conduct analysis to support refinement of existing low carbon products and services to ensure they are up-to-date and competitive in the market.
- Assess value drivers for projects across EV, renewables, hydrogen, carbon removals product spectrum. Identify, negotiate, and implement commercial structures that enable Pilot to maximize economic value across projects.
- Work with management to define annual revenue goals and key performance indicators.
- Monitor and report on performance with respect to annual goals.
- Work with other business teams across the organization to help build understanding across geographies and product and service categories, and to sell and deliver bundled, low carbon products and services.
- Work Plan and support execution of training across segments and sales channels.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience preferably in sustainability and renewable energy project management across EV, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon removals, and other decarbonization technologies.
- 5+ years of project development experience, project finance, as well as knowledge and ability to maximize the value of regulatory and incentive structures.
- Advanced degree is preferred.
- Strong people management skills, ability to design and implement project management structures to deliver bundled, low carbon solutions and services.
- Strong technical understanding of energy systems and renewable energy technologies, and ability to assess new energy technologies and complementary technologies to identify new opportunities.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with appropriate software tools.
- Strong problem-solving, mathematical, financial modeling and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver meaningful business results with minimal supervision.
- General business and financial acumen plus evidence of customer-service orientation
- Effective communications skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- Effective team player who excels at performing in a collaborative environment.
Specialized Knowledge
- Knowledge and project management experience in the broader energy management and alternative fuels markets to support development of sustainable, low carbon solutions market strategies across technologies (e.g., renewables, EV, hydrogen, carbon removals) and selected geographies to achieve strategic business ambitions and growth plans.
- Approaches and methodologies to identify and prioritize market segments and geographies that have the greatest alignment with strategic growth and revenue potential.
- Relationship management within the energy and fuels industry including potential customers, suppliers and partners that enable us to leverage growth potential through partnerships and other cooperative alliances.
- Knowledge of energy transition trends, renewable energy technology advancement, growth of new and emerging technologies (e.g., vehicle electrification, energy storage, hydrogen).
