Your Impact

Pearce is seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC units on Renewable Energy Sites located throughout United States. This is a fast-paced and rewarding job that is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Renewable industry. This position is up to 100% travel but candidates should reside in the San Diego, Los Angeles, or Bakersfield, California areas.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintaining commercial cooling systems on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
  • Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance.
  • Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season equipment.
  • Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.
  • Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
  • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience

  • Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
  • 4+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.

Physical/Work Environment

At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.

  • Candidates should reside in the San Diego, Los Angeles, or Bakersfield, California areas.
  • Travel for work (up to 100%) is required, especially during busy summer months.
  • Must be available for after-hours and weekend call outs on occasion.
  • Driving to remote work sites as needed.
  • Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
  • Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
  • Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Regulations.

Compensation: $35.00-$45.00 hourly/DOE and Per Diem
