Responsibilities:
Manage and direct the Garner Warehouse as well as any supportive areas that can impact it.
Communicate facility goals and track performance against goals. Provide technical training systems that are renewable and meet the team members needs to meet these goals. Provide required human and resources, tools/equipment and a sustainable preventative maintenance program to provide team members the tools to meet these goals.
- Ensures safety in the workspace by conducting safety audits & safety observations, documents and addresses root cause of incidents and near misses, encourages a safety orientated culture throughout the facility.
- TMC / Carriers Coordinates/Communicates with corporate Transportation Team (TMS) and Carriers
- Coordinate loading appointments with transportation team and carriers via phone, Microsoft Teams, e-mail.
- Edit and verify LTL shipments to ensure correct billing.
- Help to resolve issues that arise with carriers and TMC.
- Develop positive business relations with TMS, carrier representatives and SSRs
- Manage daily shipping schedules and planning.
- Create delivery/pick up numbers.
- Pick FG orders to ensure FIFO and minimize partial pallets in the warehouse.
- Check and PGI deliveries after shipment.
- Breakdown and prepare BOLs for accounting.
- Enter order into Lean logistics for White Wave Shipments.
- Upload BOLs into database for traceability and visibility
- Set up trucks for collect shipments to customers.
- Ensure customs paperwork is completed and forwarded to customers, customs brokers, SSRs as needed for export shipments.
- Ensure customer specific requirements are completed
- Schedule export container shipments.
- Work with production teams, Supply Chain and carriers to coordinate ready times for late orders, hot shipments, added loads etc.
- Step in to cover Shipping Team Leader duties when needed.
- Enter receiving in SAP.
- Ensure timely processing of shipments for month end and inventories.
- Conduct cycle count/inventories per the prescribed frequencies and reconcile or escalate any discrepancies that are found
- Perform Receiving Clerk duties as needed.
- Adhere to the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policy.
- Place suspect product on precautionary hold.
- Report any unsafe conditions that are encountered.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specific Functional Responsibilities:
- Must be able to accurately observe correct paths of travel and areas for product placement.
- Must be able to communicate and exchange information with teammates.
- Must be able to operate office equipment including desktop computers, demonstrate proficient computer skills, shipping and SAP processes, handheld devices, photocopiers, scanners, facsimile machines, and voicemail systems
- Normally works an 8-hour shift but potential for 12 hour rotating shifts
- Sit 5-8 hours a day.

Qualifications:
Basic Skills/Competencies:
- 2 years of leadership experience preferably in manufacturing environment
- Requires basic computer skills
- Requires basic understanding of manufacturing operation principles (productivity, quality assurance, financial responsibilities, etc.)
- Must have outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to effectively correspond with all levels of organization
- Must have excellent organizational/time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities
- Must be dependable and have an excellent attendance, safety and performance records
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours if needed
