Director of Land Services – SE

My client is seeking a Director, Land Services to join our growing team in North America focusing on expanding our Renewable Energy development platform. This position supports greenfield development and project acquisition opportunities for Solar PV and hybrid (PV + BESS) projects.

This position is responsible for the diligence, acquisition, and administration of site control rights for solar, and energy storage projects. The Director, Land Services will be a key member of the team charged with the development and execution of construction of 5 GW solar and storage project pipeline across the USA.
Minimum of 5 years of career experience acquiring site control and performing title due diligence and preferably title curative work in utility scale solar industry in the U.S.

• Understanding of legal descriptions, title and real estate terminology, comprehension of and ability to explain site control agreement provisions
• Familiarity with the full life cycle development of utility scale solar

• Experience performing land ownership due diligence, establishing contact with landowners, and negotiating site control agreements
• Understanding of the development life cycle of solar and storage projects preferred, along with exposure to the benefits and concerns of renewable energy
• Experience reviewing title and performing title curative work
• Experience with GIS
• Experience managing contractors and working alongside Project Development team for the full project cycle
• Detail oriented with ability to manage simultaneous projects/work streams, set priorities, and exercise independent
