Position Description

Origis Energy is seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to provide support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. The ideal candidate will work closely with the IT department and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support the right technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

The position of Senior IT Support Specialist reports to the Director IT and is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot incoming employee support requests. Provide technical support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services for local and remote employees.
  • Software and technology procurement
  • Analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
  • Oversee third party IT companies’ execution of end-user services, including help desk, technical support services and the provisioning and deployment of employee hardware (laptops, phones, etc.)
  • Develop, document and implement standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to IT support.
  • Work closely with outside IT providers and ensure Service Level Agreements are maintained
  • Assist with the development of business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
  • Implement and oversee asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and five years of related work experience
  • Certifications (not required): Security+, Azure Fundamentals, A+
  • Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, networking, and PC operating systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of network and cybersecurity protocols, standards and best practices
  • Extensive application support experience
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
  • Experience in managing and overseeing the security of sensitive data and IT systems
  • Experience with Microsoft enterprise products and cloud-based tools with emphasis on Microsoft/Office 365
  • Experience in managing software implementation and migrations, including training of end-users
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
