Our construction team is seeking a hard-working, problem-solving individual to fill a multi-faceted role. As a Commercial Solar Technician & Site Superintendent, you will divide your time between troubleshooting existing solar systems, assisting with project logistics, and acting as superintendent/quality control on job sites. This is an active, hands-on position where no two days are alike. Key Responsibilities:

  • System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with existing commercial solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Site Supervision: Act as the on-site superintendent, overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures.
  • Project Logistics: Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources and materials for projects.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections and audits to ensure workmanship meets company and industry standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to installation teams and support staff.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and project progress.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including electrical codes and safety guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to achieve project objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Licenses: Minimum Journeyman Electrical License required.
  • Experience: Strong electrical and mechanical background with experience in commercial-scale projects. Prior experience in solar energy is a bonus but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with a knack for finding effective solutions.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working at heights.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
