The Council is looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic person to shape and deliver a collaborative renewable energy programme.

This important work will help meet our low carbon and wider strategic objectives for economy, environment and health.

Working in the Place Team, this is a varied and challenging job, and includes:

  • Assessing and applying for significant funding and partnership opportunities for renewable energy projects such as housing retrofit schemes
  • Contributing to the NetZero agenda through energy transition work
  • Varied opportunities to shape and implement solar and hydrogen investments across Nottinghamshire
  • Development, commissioning, management and monitoring of renewable energy projects
  • National, Regional and Local Stakeholder partnership liaison
  • Consultation and negotiation undertaken as part of the development and delivery of schemes
  • Customer centred communications to facilitate engagement with residents and other stakeholders

The role will involve some travel, mainly within the County. The usual working hours are 37 per week. The ability to occasionally work outside normal office hours and at the weekend is desirable.
