Job Description

This position within the sales department provides sales support to Territory Account Managers, Business Development Managers and Technical Account Managers. The Sales Support Coordinator manages customers for the sales team in an exciting global market by creating and tracking quotations while making sure that all orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. This person is the first point of contact for new telephone inquiries and emails from customers and prospects.

The Sales Support Coordinator reports to the Global Sales Support Manager. This position works in partnership with his or her team to achieve the goals of the Sales department plan that are in line with company values, culture, and philosophies. This position is a steppingstone to grow and develop into technical sales in the fast-growing renewable energy industry.


  • Prioritize, qualify, and respond to email or telephone inquiries from customers and prospects. Ask appropriate questions to understand customer needs and concerns and suggest product solutions.
  • Triage and distribute appropriate inquiries to Territory Managers.
  • Provide direct support to Territory Managers working in domestic and international markets.
  • Prepare quotes and convert quotes to orders. Review purchase orders to ensure completeness and to identify opportunities to up-sell.
  • Provide basic technical support to customers in conjunction with the Technical Services department.
  • Work closely with Logistics department to arrange shipping logistics to customers, both domestic and international.
  • Provide training to other Sales Coordinators as needed
  • Represent NRG Systems at industry tradeshows and conferences. Respond to inquiries and identify business development opportunities. Assist Territory Managers in meetings with established customers.
  • Assist Territory Managers and VP Global Sales in developing sales strategies and various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports through market research, sales history analysis, and document preparation. Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends & government regulations.
  • Assist Territory Managers in professionally evaluating and understanding customer specifications and requirements, reviewing RFP documents, and building technical proposals.
  • Follow-up on open quotes and close sale or transfer to Territory Manager.
  • Bachelors Degree or 3 years equivalent experience and/or training.
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales experience preferred.
  • Multi-tasking skills are required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven technical aptitude. An understanding of NRGs full product line of sensors, towers and data acquisition systems will be expected.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse domestic and international customer base.
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Understanding of SalesForce as primary CRM tool or willingness to learn.

  • Knowledge and experience in shipping and logistics (domestic and international) a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% annually including international travel. Travel primarily includes trade shows and conferences.

  • Primarily duties performed in a seated position.

Compensation Range: $23-27/hour
