About NovoHydrogen

NovoHydrogen (“Novo”) is a renewable hydrogen project developer headquartered in Golden, CO. Our customers are users of hydrogen in the industrial, transportation, and power sectors. We supply our customers by supplying green hydrogen and other e-fuels at cost competitive pricing.

NovoHydrogen is an early mover in the green hydrogen space. “Novo” means “anew” in Latin. We produce hydrogen in a new way that is sustainable without greenhouse gas emissions or local pollutants. Hydrogen is the most abundant element on earth yet is traditionally produced from fossil fuels, namely methane, with significant damaging byproduct emissions. Green hydrogen is produced via the process of electrolysis, which splits water (H2O) into its component parts (hydrogen and oxygen) using renewable electricity. Novo’s founder is a passionate climate tech executive with extensive experience in the energy transition space over the past decade throughout North America. The broader leadership team brings a wide variety of expertise to the team from renewable energy (solar, wind, battery) to oil and gas to corporate sustainability. Our whole is greater than the sum of the parts – each hire brings something new and unique to the team. Novo was founded to tackle the challenge of decarbonizing our economy, specifically the traditionally hard to abate industrial sector. Renewable energy has come down in cost dramatically and will continue its cost reduction journey. Electrolysis, although around for decades, is just starting that same cost decline journey through massive global manufacturing scale-up of electrolyzers. Novo is poised to take advantage of the current environment to deploy green hydrogen projects and play a leadership role in the energy transition.
