The Specialist on the Procurement Business Diversity & Sustainability team will contribute to transformational change in this purposeful role. As a member of the sustainable procurement team, primary responsibilities of this role include collecting and analyzing data and identifying and implementing process improvements to support Northerns net zero roadmap and Global Procurement programs. In addition to working with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment, the individual in this role is responsible for partnering with Global Procurement, the Business Units, and Finance to attain the objectives for the Sustainability program.
Responsibilities:
- Help developing a vision, strategy, and operational execution of a robust global Sustainable Sourcing & Supplier Diversity Program
- Gain understanding of sustainability regulations pertaining to sustainable procurement objectives.
- Execute on both tactical and strategic projects while identifying opportunities to grow and evolve a best-in-class program and will require expert collaboration skills to ensure strategic alignment with FIS Inclusion & Diversity and Environmental & Social Governance programs
- Support development and management of digital processes to collect program data; create and manage dashboard of key performance indicators; track suppliers activated, scored and engaged and help improve data collection related to sustainable procurement.
- Oversee the tracking and analysis of key performance indicators for sustainability initiatives for procurement teams
- Identify, implement, and document process improvement initiatives for sustainability programs.
- Support Global Procurement and cross-functional teams in conducting environmental impact assessment on key projects and in the execution of sustainable supply chain programs and initiatives.
- Support senior leaders in the development of internal communication, training and capability building to aid in creation of awareness and support for program goals, progress and impacts.
- Support the development of targets for supply chain sustainability and responsible for reporting on progress.
- Works closely with Sustainability team and Sourcing teams to ensure alignment of approaches and sharing of data and performance.
- Manage supplier questionnaire deployment, tracking and management, supporting business units and working closely with suppliers as needed.

Experience, Education and/or Training:
- Bachelors degree in business, Sustainability, Supply Chain & Logistics, Business Administration, Finance/Accounting or a related field with focus on Corporate Social Responsibility, social and environment metrics and reporting, or similar.
- Experience in supply chain sustainability and related issues such as human rights and social risks, environmental impacts such as climate change and waste is preferred.
- A demonstrated understanding of Sustainable Procurement & Procurement Excellence is required.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools Suite is required.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written English proficiency, and ability to collaborate with a global team is required.
Knowledge/ Skills & Qualifications required
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience preferably working in ESG reporting, financial reporting, or legal fields.
- Experience understanding complex transactions and creating clear and transparent disclosures for external consumption.
- Uses expertise to provide guidance to others as a project manager or consultant.
- Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and clients.
- Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
