Job Description

NexGen Construction is a residential Enphase Platinum dealer in Orange County. We are looking for a Solar Electrician to join our team. As a Solar Electrician, youll have an essential role on our crew, working at our residential customers homes to assemble and install solar arrays, racking and related equipment. The electrician will be responsible for overseeing the Installation process, including Main Panel upgrades. We take tremendous pride in our solar installations and look for talented individuals who take the same kind of pride in their work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two or more years as a Solar Electrician.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years previous experience with solar installs.
  • More than 2 years of previous construction experience is required.
  • Roofing experience is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of HS diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to read project plans and blueprints and build to plan specs.
  • Must be able to interact and perform inspections with Building Inspectors.
  • Must be able to work exceptionally well with others, competently delegate work amongst crew and resolve potential crew issues.
  • Must have full range or mobility in upper and lower body; ability to work in various positions and environments.
  • Ability to lift, pull and push materials and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Professional in appearance, with excellent customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete projects within established policies and procedures.
  • Complete projects within time frames and budgets.
  • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety.
  • Responsible for assembling of the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment.
  • Responsible for Main Service Panel upgrades.
  • Responsible for Groundwork, Solar equipment installation and all electrical circuits and terminations.
  • Responsible for final commissioning of Solar and Storage projects.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions or concerns to the best of your ability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 50 per week
