About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Program Manager to oversee and deliver a billion-dollar scale project, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and under budget.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale, complex construction programs, aligning with corporate strategy, and maintaining exceptional quality & safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Lead, manage, and oversee all aspects of a billion-dollar construction project, from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive program strategies, including project scheduling, resource allocation, procurement strategies, and risk management plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all project phases. Develop contingency plans to handle unforeseen challenges while minimizing project disruptions.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets exceeding a billion dollars, ensuring financial accountability, tracking project costs, and optimizing resource allocation to maximize profitability.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, designers, and subcontractors. Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure team success.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects adhere to local and international building codes, safety standards, environmental regulations, and corporate quality assurance protocols.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to executive leadership, clients, and other key stakeholders on program progress, including financial performance, project milestones, and risk management updates.
- Contract & Contractor Management: Oversee contract negotiations, sub-contractor selection, and management, ensuring the highest quality of service and compliance with contractual agreements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Registered PE desirable.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Project Management would be preferable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing industrial scale multi-disciplined projects in engineering, or construction fields, with at least 5 years managing billion-dollar scale programs.
- Certifications & Systems: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience of Dry Rooms and Clean Rooms very desirable.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional financial management and budgeting skills for large-scale programs.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Systems/software knowledge of likes of eBuilder/Power BI is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
- Deep understanding of construction laws, regulations, and safety standards.
