Your Role

As the Senior Manager of Facilities and Environmental (ESG), you will serve in a facilities executive role, responsible for establishing the strategic and tactical direction of NMG’s decarbonization plan. You will lead NMG to achieve its climate targets by partnering with site Facility teams to implement energy efficiency, electrification, and renewable energy projects that optimize performance and disclose the progression.

As a member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic advice and technical expertise to Facilities teams on a broad range of complex matters. You will be remote but expected to travel 20-30% of the time. You will report to (dual reporting structure) the Senior Director of Facilities and the Senior Manager of Sustainability & ESG Reporting and will have 2 direct reports.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll set the strategic decarbonization plan that supports overall ESG goals and objectives.
  • You will measure NMG’s annual Scope 1, 2, & 3 greenhouse gas emissions in partnership with external consultants.
  • You will partner with Facilities Engineers across the organization to monitor and improve site-specific performance through energy efficiency, electrification, renewable electricity, and refrigerant management projects.
  • You will oversee NMG’s RE100 membership and procurement of renewable energy credits (RECs), vPPAs, etc. to meet NMG’s 100% renewable electricity by 2030 goal.
  • You will partner with NMG’s Senior Manager, Sustainability to report NMG’s climate performance in annual disclosures, including CDP Climate and NMG’s ESG report.
  • You will manage strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout facility operations.
  • You are working with leaders across the company on projects for facilities and the broader organization.
  • You will manage project support including (but not limited to) IT, capital, construction, and store planning.
  • You will Implement improved processes and management methods to create higher return on investment and facility optimization.
  • You’ll audit facilities by using TracerES to ensure they are running and offer support and training of our energy management system TracerES.
  • You will collect. track, calculate, and examine accurate data and analytics to determine business effectiveness and report out as needed.
  • You will manage all components that pertain to utilities for all NMG facilities, as well as be supportive of all safety programs, OSHA, and regulatory compliance projects to provide a safe, respectful, and cohesive work environment.

What You Bring

  • You have experience working with emissions or GHG decarbonization.
  • You have experience in Facilities with energy efficiency, electrification, renewable electricity, and refrigerant management projects.
  • Proficient at forecasting models, budget planning, and full P&L ownership.
  • Experience with Lean Principles, Labor Management, and Manhattan WMS (a plus).
  • You have Leadership experience with financial and business acumen with experience updating senior/executive leadership.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and bend, squat, stoop or kneel, and climb a ladder.
