Job Description

The VP of Development will lead the project development team responsible for managing portfolios and ensure they reach milestones efficiently. Activities include site evaluation, feasibility studies, permitting, interconnection applications and contract negotiations.

This profile requires a highly organized and effective communicator who has extensive understanding of solar and storage development. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position will direct and strategize the growth of the project development team and its portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project development team responsible for solar and storage projects across Northeast and Mid-Atlantic US regions
  • Collaborate with utilities and engineers to manage interconnection applications
  • Manage internal engineering, estimating and pres-construction teams
  • Oversee contractual negotiations including PPAs, MIPAs, LOIs and lease agreements
  • Create proposals, reports and presentations for prospective and existing customers that highlight the financial benefits of installing a solar project

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience managing C&I renewable energy project development
  • Knowledge on Federal and State Solar Policy
  • Proven success of taking projects from site control to NTP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, whilst being an effective communicator
