We are looking for a Battery Cell Lab Technician to perform electrode manufacturing, battery cell assembly, and battery cell testing in our Mountain View lab.
Responsibilities:
- Execute procedures in the laboratory with minimal supervision
- Perform defined experiments based on SOPs
- Perform a variety of facilities tasks including handling shipments, minor repairs, and maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Receive and check-in chemicals in our inventory system
- Conduct chemical inventories throughout the lab
- Participate in safety duties including conducting inspections, safe work practices, and helping other staff to work safely
- Weigh out chemicals and operate batteryslurry mixing and coating equipment
- Prepare electrodes and cell components for coin and pouch cell fabrication
- Support R&D operations for cell making and testing
- Assist engineers in developing methods and procedures
- Perform experiments, quality control, and process development related to electrode coating, cell assembly and cell testing
Qualifications:
- Experience working in laboratory or industrial environments
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Congenial and friendly relationship with coworkers
- Ability to lift, squat, kneel, use step ladders, manipulate hand, and power tools
- Basic computer skills including using email, creating, and editing spreadsheets and documents in G-Suite and MS Office
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with chemical processing and characterization in a lab environment
- Battery electrode and cell making, and related experience is preferred
- Experience battery cycling using testers including Neware and Arbin is a plus

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
- The estimated hourly rate for this role is $30.00-$45.00
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus and equity plan
