Job Description

This role will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for

  • Developing and Designing Experiments: Plan and design comprehensive tests and experiments to evaluate powder processing methods and optimize lithium-ion battery materials.
  • Operating Equipment: Perform hands-on operation of powder processing equipment and instruments, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and maintenance.
  • Analyzing Results: Evaluate and analyze test results to determine effectiveness, performance, and areas for improvement in powder processing and battery material quality.
  • Identifying Improvements: Identify opportunities for enhancing processes, upgrading equipment, and optimizing pilot space to improve overall efficiency and product quality.
  • Project Support: Provide support for various projects as needed, including troubleshooting, process development, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Over three years of hands-on experience in powder processing or a related field, demonstrating expertise in managing and optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Industry-Specific Experience: Proven experience with lithium-ion battery materials or products, including familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of working with battery technologies.
