My client are a fast growing and well recognized Solar & Storage owner/operate in N. America, with GWs of Renewable Assets in Operation, and GWs of projects in their Development Pipeline.

Job Description

The Solar/Storage – Director, Corporate Development – Hybrid, will have the below responsibilities:

• Work with the Head of M&A and CIO to identify and evaluate project, portfolio and platform acquisition targets through renewable energy sector, with a focus on utility-scale solar and battery storage.
• Lead preliminary screening efforts for potential acquisitions; present findings to Executive Team on a routine basis.
• Manage acquisition or sale processes from end-to-end, including valuation, risk analysis, bid/sale recommendation, transaction structuring, negotiations, documentation and closing.
• Drive financial model development and valuation, including sensitivity scenarios.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on diligence workstreams, including but not limited to development, legal, structured finance & tax.
• Support development of long-term relationships and channel partnerships.

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a related technical field; MBA welcomed.
• 7-10 years of relevant finance experience required (preferably in the renewable energy industry); investment banking, principal investing and/or corporate M&A experience is strongly preferred.
• In-depth understanding of renewable energy project financing concepts, including tax equity.
• Solid transaction execution and negotiation experience, with ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Quantitative background with strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability.
• Ability to work well with multiple teams cross-functionally and in offices across the U.S.

What’s on Offer

For the right Solar/Storage – Director, Corporate Development – Hybrid there will be:

Base Salary up to $235k

Annual Bonus up to 60%

Ideally based in the Bay Area (San Francisco), open to New York as well.
