Job Description

The Project Developer (Solar Energy) will

• Secure and manage leases and site control for solar projects.
• Conduct meetings with landowners and external stakeholders to advance project development.
• Oversee the permitting process to ensure timely project approvals.
• Manage all aspects of solar projects from inception through to Notice to Proceed (NTP) and Commercial Operation Date (COD).
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project milestones are met.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Travel locally up to 50% to support project development activities.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Project Developer (Solar Energy) will have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in utility scale or DG solar projects
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
• Understanding of permitting within MISO
