Pay: $120,000-$150,000 annual salary based on experience
Job Type: Salaried, exempt
Schedule: Monday Friday, weekends as needed
Shift: 8 hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., flex as needed

MHX is hiring a full-time Renewable Bulk Fuel Terminal Manager at our premier rail-served renewables terminal in Fontana, California. MHXs Fontana, California facility has 2.5 million gallons of tank storage facilitating 100 million gallons of annual throughput of renewable diesel, biodiesel, and ethanol in this state-of-the-art, automated facility.

The Bulk Fuel Terminal Manager is a boots-on-the-ground individual who will be responsible for all bulk fuel rail-to-tank transload, storage, and customer fueling operations, including EH&S protocol management, personnel management, scheduling, training, inventory management, quality assurance and customer interface. They will ensure that the Terminal achieves operational and financial targets and directly works with the other commodities site managers to facilitate efficient operations across all business lines. The Bulk Fuel Terminal Manager oversees all operations of the Fuel program, develops and/or maintains standard operating procedures, adheres to all EH&S protocols, develops Fuel Facility Operators and schedules staff for 24/7 operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee fuel island terminal operations to ensure that customers trucks are loaded safely efficiently within agreed times.
  • Ensure site safety, health and environmental plans are complied with and ensure all routine and incident related compliance activities are completed including daily safety meetings.
  • Manage team supporting a 24/7 operation to provide a consistent customer focused service standard and meet agreed KPIs.
  • Maintain agreed storage tank inventories by scheduling railcar movement and unloading.
  • Maintain availability of transload product on the transloading rack to the agreed level by scheduling railcar movements and unloading sequence.
  • Prepare regular reports on terminal performance KPIs (load time, waiting time, slot availability, equipment downtime, inventory reports) and attend regular review and planning meetings with customers and terminal partners.
  • Manage execution of the required quality assurance program for sampling, testing and other inspections in time to meet the loading schedule and all related documentation.
  • Manage completion and documentation of scheduled maintenance inspection and servicing plan and resolve any equipment issues according to the maintenance plan to ensure required availability of the loading systems.
  • Communicate with other departments and customers where necessary to notify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain all paperwork to comply with FRA regulations and perform rail check.
  • Plan housekeeping schedules to ensure a clean and compliant facility.
