This client are a leading provider of Distributed Generation (DG) solar solutions, specializing in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to renewable energy by delivering high-quality, cost-effective solar projects. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Manager to join our growing team and lead the successful execution of our solar projects.

Job Summary:

The Construction Manager will oversee all on-site aspects of solar PV project construction, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in solar construction management, a deep understanding of DG solar systems, and strong leadership skills. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination:
  • Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
  • Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Site Management:
  • Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise site personnel, including site supervisors, engineers, and labor crews.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all team members.
  • Provide training and guidance to on-site staff to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Quality Control & Safety:
  • Implement and enforce rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and ensure all personnel adhere to OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Budget & Schedule Management:
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure that construction activities are completed within the allocated budget.
  • Track project timelines and take corrective actions to avoid delays.
  • Report regularly on project status, including progress, budget, and schedule, to senior management.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the construction phase, addressing concerns and providing regular updates.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, utility companies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate client site visits and inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on solar PV projects.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale DG solar projects, from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, construction methods, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD).
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Project management: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: On the road
