EPC Project Manager – Solar

Location: Remote with travel

Reports to: VP PMO

The EPC Project Manager – Solar will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of solar EPC projects from inception through to completion. This role requires a highly organized and experienced individual with a strong background in project management, engineering, and construction within the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for project execution.
  • Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and report financial performance.
  • Approve expenditures and manage project cash flow in alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including final inspections, commissioning, and handover to the client.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale solar EPC projects.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, engineering principles, and construction practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards in the renewable energy sector.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
