Field Engineer – Utility Scale Solar
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Engineer to join our team for utility-scale solar projects. The Field Engineer will be responsible for supporting the construction and installation of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role involves site management, technical oversight, and ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction activities.
- Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Technical Oversight:
- Review project drawings, specifications, and plans to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide technical support and solutions to the construction team.
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure all work meets company standards and client requirements.
- Site Management:
- Supervise on-site construction activities and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized job site, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the engineering team and construction personnel.
- Facilitate regular site meetings with project stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in field engineering, preferably in utility-scale solar projects.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems and related construction practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
