Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Manager with a strong background in B2B sales, particularly in the renewable energy sector, focusing on photovoltaic (PV) products. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work independently. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle, integrating products into various sectors, and contributing to market expansion efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
– Sales Cycle Management:
– Oversee the entire sales cycle for PV products, including integration into small utility, commercial & industrial, and residential sectors.
– Understand and address the technical and financial needs of projects, offering tailored support packages beyond product offerings.
– Sales Forecasting & Market Analysis:
– Establish and communicate sales forecasts, identify sales opportunities, and review prospects regularly.
– Collect and share competitive information, market trends, and territory data to inform marketing strategies and business development activities.
– Client Engagement & Market Expansion:
– Represent the company at trade shows and conferences, entertain clients and prospects, and secure new sales opportunities.
– Travel within the sales territory as required, with the ability to travel up to 50%.
– Accountabilities:
– Establish product bankability to support clients with project financing and lender acceptance.
– Manage aging inventory and support sales through local US warehouses.
– Meet and exceed sales price requirements, outpacing competitors.
– Strengthen product and service adoption over time, negotiate commercial terms, increase market share, and maintain leadership in the territory.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Associate degree in business management, administration, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
– Minimum of 6 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
– Experience in sales support for solar photovoltaic, energy storage, or other new energy and battery industries is highly desirable.
– High proficiency in MS Office applications and Salesforce or similar sales tools.
– Fluency in English and Chinese, with strong communication skills both in writing and speaking. Proficiency in a local foreign language is an advantage.
– Strong analytical skills, with an ability to identify key decision-makers, navigate complex deals, and manage negotiations.
– Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
– Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working without supervision.
– A strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and competitive drive are essential.
