Summary Description

As a Sustainability Coordinator at Mannington Commercial, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and executing sustainability solutions across various domainsranging from associate development and renewable energy to product circularity and sales support. Your efforts will help eliminate greenhouse gases and achieve product certifications. Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Reporting: Support organization-wide data collection and ensure data integrity for ESR reporting purposes. Engage with stakeholders and implement best practices for comprehensive ESR reporting. This includes greenhouse gas inventory data, product related data, ESR-related policies, and data alignment with reporting initiatives such as the annual ESR report, Climate Disclosure Project, United Nations Global Compact reporting, and Global Reporting Initiative.
  • Cross-Functional Implementation: Work across all functional areas to drive and successfully implement ESR initiatives, including net-zero waste, greenhouse gas emission reductions, operational efficiency, product circularity, and resource conservation.
  • Sustainability Support: Assist marketing, district managers, and sales teams by providing sustainability-related information, facilitating product reuse/reclamation/recycling, and supporting technical sales efforts.
  • ESR Trends: Maintain an ongoing ESR data set with updates on impending legislation, certification programs, product news, trends, and advances in ESR initiatives.
  • Carbon Offset Partnership: Administer and manage the carbon offset partnership initiative to support the Mannington Commercials sustainability goals.
  • Representation: Represent Mannington Commercial at internal and external events through attendance, presentations, and customer interactions as appropriate. Also travel to manufacturing sites as needed.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Project Management: Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, preferably in ESR-related work.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to work at both macro and micro levels with a critical, proactive mindset.
  • Future Planning: Capable of anticipating and defining future steps to ensure the success of ESR initiatives.
  • Communication: Possess effective and persuasive communication skills for engaging with both internal and external audiences.
  • Self-Direction & Collaboration: Proven ability to thrive in self-directed tasks while being an effective and valuable team collaborator.
  • Multi-Project Management: Competence in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelors Degree: Required in architecture, interior design, business, environmental sciences, or a related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree and/or relevant professional experience.
  • Professional Experience: 1-3 years of experience in supporting and implementing ESR-related initiatives, or in lieu of a degree, 5+ years in a sustainability-related field.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications and ongoing education related to ESR are highly preferred.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products

Experience with social media posting preferred.
