A leading green energy company is seeking a Sr. Sales Manager to drive sales for large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects (50MW+). This individual will act as the primary point of contact for customers and lead the sales process from concept through contract, managing both technical and commercial challenges. The role requires strong technical knowledge in solar + BESS systems, automation, power plant controls, and SCADA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers weekly, representing the company at industry events and meetings.
- Drive new account development through prospecting and lead generation.
- Manage long, complex B2B sales cycles and provide technical/commercial training to customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (legal, engineering, product, field service) to ensure project success.
- Utilize CRM and project management tools for reporting and internal communications.
- Report progress to the executive team.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of technical sales experience, preferably in BESS or related fields.
- Strong project management skills, with familiarity in tools like Salesforce and SmartSheets.
- Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree in Business or Engineering.
- Experience in renewable energy or energy storage.
