Role Description

We are seeking industry veteran candidate in support of our leading power and renewable energy consulting services, with emphasis in renewable energy (solar / wind / geothermal), battery energy storage, and/or thermal power systems, bringing related experience in project development, design, contracting, construction and/or operations.

The position involves a blend of technical and business skills centered on technical, commercial, and financial due diligence of power and infrastructure projects, including project development and financial advisory, construction, commissioning and operations monitoring. You will assist teams and clients in the technical and commercial analysis of plans and documents related to project development and financing, M&A, design, contract development and negotiation, construction, performance testing, operations and maintenance, environmental permitting, and financial pro forma projections, working with developers, contractors, investors, lenders, governmental agencies and other stakeholders and advisors. The position/title will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and capabilities and offers opportunity for career development and growth. 

The position is ideally hybrid, office-based (remote candidates considered based on qualifications) with periodic travel, and require excellent communication, teamwork, report writing skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage and flex with multiple projects and schedules simultaneously, and the drive to meet client and co-worker needs.

Qualifications

  • Ten years’ experience technical consulting and/or project development experience
  • Fifteen years’ renewables / power industry experience
  • Project management, supervisory, and mentoring experience
  • Business development and proposal preparation experience
  • Excellent technical, analytical, computer, and oral and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and drive to excel
  • Familiarity with applicable industry codes, standards, regulations, and practices
  • Ability to work well independently, as a team, and under deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent; advanced degrees preferred
  • Professional certification, such as PE, is a plus
