Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to lead our sales team in driving revenue growth and market expansion in the battery energy storage sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the energy storage landscape and have a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and the implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor success.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Identify new business opportunities and target markets within the battery energy storage sector.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team culture focused on continuous improvement and professional development.

KPI Implementation and Monitoring:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales performance and drive accountability.
  • Analyze sales metrics and market trends to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Engage in high-level negotiations and oversee contract management to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.

Market Insights and Reporting:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in battery energy storage.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for future growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales efforts with overall company goals.
  • Support marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness and generate leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 9 years of sales experience in the battery energy storage or related energy sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing sales teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
