Description/Job Summary
Lindahl Reed is hiring a Program Analyst to support the Department of Energys (DOE) office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). This position will work within the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO).
This role will involve critical technical review and coordination of life cycle analysis (LCA) activities funded by the DOE, including development and expansion of modeling tools (such as the suite of Greenhouse gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy Use in Technologies models), technical reports and journal articles, briefings for management and leadership, and plans for future lab R&D. LCA activities within this role will span a wide range of decarbonization technologies and fuels, including but not limited to hydrogen, biofuels, electrification, carbon capture and sequestration, and synthetic fuels.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in life cycle analysis and decarbonization technologies, as well as familiarity with technoeconomic analysis of these technologies. The ideal candidate will additionally have familiarity with incentive programs and policies relevant to life cycle analysis, such as the provisions enacted by the Inflation Reduction Act. The ideal candidate will also have strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to stakeholders from varying backgrounds; strong organizational skills; and the ability to work well with diverse technical and nontechnical parties.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years experience in relevant area OR
  • Graduate degree and 2+ years experience in relevant area
  • Expertise in Life Cycle Analysis and Decarbonization Technologies
  • Strong organizational skills and very detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate programmatic information to various stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with many different stakeholders
  • Ability to complete tasks independently, but also in a collaborative team.
  • Experience and comfort in preparing and giving presentations
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Forms
  • Experience working with senior leadership, especially in a government setting
