Description of Role:

As an Origination Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting Lightshift’s Origination team in its efforts to promote brand awareness, develop new customer relationships and nourish existing relationships, with the goal of commercializing new battery energy storage projects. This role is the ideal growth opportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking to help fuel the growth of one of the most innovative companies in the space.

Core responsibilities for the role include:

  • Research and identify new origination prospects across a range of customers, including IOUs, co-ops, municipal utilities, commercial and industrial customers, universities, etc.
  • Prepare and ensure timely delivery of high-quality proposals in response to requests for proposals (“RFPs”).
  • Prepare RFP summaries for distribution to broader team and lead the proposal and pricing processes through RFP submission.
  • Coordinate with broader Lightshift Team, including Development, Finance, Engineering and other departments, to prepare for proposals and meetings with customers.
  • Help to develop and maintain a Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) system to ensure Lightshift is tracking customer interactions effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of submitted proposals and pricing models.
  • Read and summarize utility Integrated Resource Plans, quarterly earnings reports and market trend reports and distill relevant information upwards to management.
  • Perform energy market research and analysis to help uncover trends and identify new opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 0 – 2+ years of professional experience

  • Strong organizational, networking, leadership, and time management skills
  • Outstanding problem solving, strategic thinking, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and as a team member
  • Ability to make decisions with limited information and when faced with uncertainty
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under significant time and pressure conditions
  • Knowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets is a plus

Location:

  • Strong preference for candidate to report to Lightshift’s Arlington, VA headquarters. We will consider remote employment for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary commensurate with experience and generous annual cash bonuses;
