The Opportunity:

As an Account Executive at Leaf Agriculture, you will play a critical role in driving new business and expanding our market presence. This position demands a consultative sales approach, where your ability to ask insightful questions will be key to understanding the diverse use cases, value points, and business cases for our clients. You will leverage your expertise to navigate complex sales cycles, build strong relationships, and close deals with enterprise-level clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Lead the identification, qualification, and acquisition of new enterprise-level clients. Drive revenue growth by selling Leaf’s innovative technology solutions to a diverse range of customers that serve the agriculture sector i.e. Insurance, Seed/Chemical, Retailers, Farm Management, and more.
  • Consultative Selling: Engage with prospects and clients through thoughtful questioning to uncover their specific needs, challenges, and goals. Use these insights to tailor your sales approach and effectively demonstrate how Leaf’s solutions can deliver significant value.
  • Strategic Sales Execution: Orchestrate buy-in from multiple stakeholders within client organizations, guiding them through the decision-making process by addressing their unique use cases and business objectives.
  • Solution Demonstration: Confidently explain Leaf’s technology solutions, showcasing how our offerings solve customer pain points and align with their strategic goals. Customize proposal presentations to resonate with various audiences, from technical experts to C-level executives. Build strong numbers driven business cases.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and update a robust pipeline of prospects within Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective progression from initial contact through to contract signing.
  • Industry Engagement: Actively participate in industry trade shows, events, and community associations to build a strong network and stay at the forefront of industry trends. Use these opportunities to generate leads and enhance Leaf’s visibility in the market.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Sales Expertise: 5+ years of experience in a senior-level sales role selling high five to six figure deals, particularly in new business within a complex sales environment. A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets is essential.
  • Consultative Approach: Strong ability to ask the right questions to uncover client needs and tailor solutions that align with their specific use cases and business goals.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers across all levels of an organization.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute a formal strategic plan for identifying and developing industry-specific clients, with a focus on long-term growth.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
