Real-Time Trader (ERCOT)

Real-Time Trader (ERCOT) responsibilities

• Manage the operating assets in Real Time by executing trading and scheduling decisions to ensure capacity (state of charge) availability to meet energy and ancillary service obligations
• Apply in depth ISO / ERCOT market operations knowledge to inform BESS trading & bidding strategies and real-time operations management
• Work within a 24/7 rotating real-time operations schedule that will include working nights, weekends, and holidays in the office
• Use 3rd Party modules and ISO published reports to monitor Real Time system conditions, outages, and constraints on nodal energy prices effecting our positions

Real-Time Trader (ERCOT) experience:

• 2+ years in a Real Time Power role such as control room operations, power trading, generation scheduling, or asset management
• Working knowledge in one or more ISOs preferred (ERCOT, CAISO, WECC, SPP, MISO, PJM, IESO, NYISO, ISONE)
• NERC certification and familiarity with energy storage technologies are advantages
• Demonstrates high standards in risk management, performance management, relationships with relevant 3rd parties and clients, communication, analysis, decision making, and legal & regulatory compliance
