We are seeking a Vice President of Project Development to lead the development of a large, technology agnostic portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Developers with 10+ years of wind or solar projects are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have conceptualized and completed at least two utility-scale projects, in WEEC, MISO, SPP or ERCOT.

  • Create and execute a greenfield development strategy encompassing land acquisition, permitting, interconnection, and environmental permitting among other project milestones.
  • Lead a team of project developers located in multiple markets. Projects include wind, solar, storage, and other novel infrastructure.
  • Manage project competitiveness via technical, commercial, and financial efforts.
  • Optimize P&L; objectives, schedules, and deliverables for your team.
  • Liaise between development and technical teams on site selection, transmission/interconnection, procurement of equipment, power origination, permitting, construction, and M&A.Hire, coach, and mentor a team of project developers to develop in multiple markets and technologies.
  • Create and implement project control tools, maps, data rooms, databases, and schedules.
  • Provide guidance on acquisitions of project, portfolios, and operating assets.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of utility scale renewables development
  • 5+ years of leading and mentoring a project development team.
  • Greenfield development expertise in MISO, SPP, ERCOT, or WECC.
  • Completed wind, solar and battery projects.
  • Ability to work remotely, with travel to HQ on a bi-weekly basis.
