Long standing Developer-turned-IPP, working on Utility-Scale multi-technology projects across the US. Well funded by a major Investment Fund and with over 1GW of projects succesfully developed to date. Currently 5GW+ of development pipeline, and over 1GW due to start construction in the next year.

Job Description

The Wind, Solar, BESS – Director of Procurement – Remote will oversee the below responsibilties and more:

• Lead all strategic procurement activities to support the development and construction of grid-scale wind, solar and battery storage projects.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs of major wind, solar and storage equipment.
• Responsible for developing the contracting strategy for procurement of major equipment to fit with the goals and risk profile of the project and the company.
• Provide feedback into the conceptual and detailed design process.
• Manage procurement RFPs to determine best-fit suppliers for major equipment and services.
• Serve as main point of contact for the RFP bidding process; scheduling and managing Q & A sessions, response deadlines, proposal deliverables and supplier feedback.
• Analyze bids and qualify vendors based on quality, cost and contractual terms and provide recommendations to senior management team.
• Collaborate effectively with the Development, Commercial, EPC and Interconnection teams to ensure alignment on equipment selection.
• Work with counsel to develop and manage equipment supply agreements to ensure terms and conditions align with market expectations and all applicable project requirements.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s in engineering, supply chain management or business preferred.
• At least 5 years of work experience with a leading IPP, utility or renewable developer.
• Proven record of accomplishment in wind, solar and energy storage major equipment and services.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues and to prioritize critical path tasks.
• Professional presence and strong communication skills.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

What’s On Offer

For the right Wind, Solar, BESS – Director of Procurement – Remote there will be:

Salary up to $250k – depending on experience

Annual bonus between 30-50% – depending on experienceOpen to remote outside of California – preference on Central or Eastern timezone – eg (Texas, Illinois, New York, Colorado, etc)
